3D digitization campaign for the purpose of onservation and restitution of collections to the public

IMA Solutions and Digiscan3D have launched a high-definition 3D scanning campaign for the works of the Musée Départemental Arles Antique. This project, which began in 2014, has enabled the 3D scanning of approximately 200 works selected from the collections for conservation and public presentation.

These works, some processed, some reassembled, others unfolded, are visible on the museum’s sketchfab account, which IMA Solutions and Digiscan3D update with each scanning campaign in close collaboration with the conservation team, which implements enhanced labels.

Furthermore, since the launch of the museum’s virtual tours (permanent collections and reserves), the 3D models have also been implemented in these interactive devices, allowing them to be manipulated virtually.
